To reprint your material in another publication, email permissions@ucpress.edu or fax (510) 836-8910. Requests may take up to four weeks to process.

Publishers: To request permission to reproduce content (text) that is still in print, please follow the RightsLink instructions under Reprints (below). For more complex requests or for content that is out of print, please send your request via e-mail to permissions@ucpress.edu

Media: Journalists interested in excerpting UC Press content can email requests to askpublicity@ucpress.edu, or view our Media page. Please include author/title/media outlet in the subject heading of the email.

Please note that most images and figures in UC Press publications are licensed from third-parties. UC Press can only grant permissions for material for which it holds the copyright. Look for the image/figure credit line or citation to determine where the image originated. For material copyrighted by another person or organization, you must secure permission directly from the cited source. For more information, contact the US Copyright Office.
